People learn about environmentally friendly practices in different ways. For example, they get enough information in web sites dedicated this topic specifically. Also, people learn through television campaigns, managed by ecological organizations and other by the government.
I have some consciousness of the benefits that recycle the materials but I have incorporated only a few recycling habits indirectly. For example, glass bottles deposited in special containers is outside supermarkets and other public places. Also deposit cell phones and batteries in specially designed boxes for recycling.
In addition, I travel by car very little, since I use public transportation. Also, try to walk every time it is possible, when the journeys are short, or when the routes are a little longer I ride a bike.
Respect to a more active participation, I can say that I have never joined an ecological organization. This is because I've never considered a priority. Joining these organizations requires much time and great commitment. In fact, before I had more important needs.
Actually, my contribution to the care of the environment has been quite limited. Among other things I've done, I can mention that I am used to turning off lights when they are not strictly necessary. On the other hand, if I close either drinking water taps and try to keep them in good condition.
In our society there is very conscious of the damage that modern life is causing the planet. But there is not motivation enough to reverse that situation. There are only isolated movements that fail to become a mass movement, national or global character.
See you.

My future vacacation.
The vacations are very important because is a time of year where you can relax. Having a good time, you can go to walk outdoors and meet beautiful and interesting places like the beach and countryside. In this time it is possible to meet new people, tourists from other countries or areas. Also the large lot of sun allows a beautiful tan.
This vacations I pretend travel around the world...it`s a joke...I will travel to the south and go about the maximum number of lakes. The circuit of the lake is very beautiful. It's a real pleasure is in contact with nature.
I will travel in an all-terrain vehicle. This will allow me greater mobility in rough terrain. This all-terrain vehicle also allows me to carry a greater amount of baggage. This vehicle also allows me to carry any passenger.
In this vacation pretend rest and sleep tired before go to walk outdoors. Then I have fun, going to parties in the different places you go. Sing around bonfires on the beach with my friends. I also bathe in the warm waters of the lakes. On this date the lake water is delicious, and that at the end of the day all the heat builds up on the shore.

Article from The Guardian
http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/jan/08/cut-working-week-urges-thinktank
The news that I have chosen refers to the cut in working hours per week. This cut would mean a limit of 20 hours per week and would in the UK as a way to reduce high unemployment in that European country. This measure would have a double effect, in addition to the above, would allow workers to have more free time to spend more time with their families.
The research center New Economics Foundation (NEF) has found employees who work long hours and many people who work very little or are unemployed, so logic would use a simple, consisting of a new social division of labor, a kind redistribution of work: working long hours would be required to work less, creating the possibility of increasing the labor supply for those who are in a more disadvantageous.
The proposal to cut weekly working hours becomes more necessary as some economists such as Robert Skidelsky, predict a decrease in jobs after the recession. This measure would not affect economic success, as they have the examples of Germany and the Netherlands, which show the opposite.

I would like to visit...
I would like to visit Australia, because it is a very beautiful and enigmatic country. These characteristics have their origin in the fact that Australia is a country-continent. This means it is very big, but is not just size that makes this country so beautiful and enigmatic. These characteristics are given by the different environments of this place, where you can find deserts, jungles, beaches and cosmopolitan cities.
I know about Australia that is in the southern hemisphere, that is the world's smallest continent, but also is the largest island in the world. Their more greatest areas are deserts, where there diversity of flora and wildlife.
If I could travel to Australia, I would like to stay and live there for a long time, for knowing the different environments that characterize this place, to cross the deserts and jungles, swimming in beaches with tropical temperatures and walk through their cities. On the other hand, I would like interacting with people who live there, to know their culture and learn from it.
I hope to travel to this country-continent some day soon.

Class in the summer
Hello:
I want to tell my expectations for this period. First, I would like do well in all my classes, especially in the fields required. Some elective classes are not a priority, because I need to spend more time required. Second, I hope that is not very high stress, since the semester is very short, only a few weeks.
This semester I am taking six classes, three required and three electives. The class I like best is the Research Workshop, because in it I can put into practice everything they learned.
On the other hand, I want to tell you that I dislike having to study in the summer. Difficult to concentrate in the study due to heat. Also, one is accustomed to enjoy the holidays this year, relaxing with his family. But now there is pressure to return to school the next day.
See you.

My favorite place
My favorite place is Chiloé island, because I like nature. I love its wild animals: the chilote fox or Darwin fox, the smallest of Chilean foxes, an animal lives only in this island; the Pudú, the world’s smallest deer; two species of sea wolves (one and two hairs); the Tonina, a specie of dolphin. These are just some of the many animals in this place. Also I love Chiloé’s wild vegetation: the Alerce, the tallest Chilean native tree, that can to live thousands of years; the Arrayán, a red wood tree and very hard. There are many more varieties.
Also Chiloé is my favorite place because it is an island with a culture different from the rest of the country. There are other customs, such as Minga or Mingaco, which is a special type of collective work, whose most distinctive example is the transfer of houses through the use of oxen. There are other types of foods, such as the Curanto, a mixture of seafood and meats cooked in a hole in the ground. There are also buildings that are unique in the country: the palafitos, manufactured houses along the water, on wooden pillars.
Chiloé is an island located in the X region, south of Puerto Montt. It is reached by ferries, since there is no bridge. The first time I went to Chiloé, was nineteen years old. I went traveling through the island to the southernmost. I interacted with many types of people, for example, fishermen, sailors very peculiar, different from other regions, peasants friendly and talkative, and also many tourists from around the world.
In short, Chiloé is a very special island, so it's my favorite place. It is also one of the reasons why I would like to go to live and work in a little while longer. It's a project I hope to meet in a couple of years.
See you.

Important piece of news
On Saturday June 4 this year, began to show the fumaroles of Puyehue, a volcano located near the city of Osorno. On Thursday 12 May, student protests began in various parts of the country. What these news have in common? ... apparently little or nothing. But, a deep comparative analysis shows that both phenomena reflect news that may have unpredictable results: they could change the "face of the earth" or just be forgotten.
Powerful eruptions or ash columns, in any way that some people are damaged. People "should be" in parts of the disaster because they had no choice. The simple farmer who see how their animals will die, because the ash covered the field. Or the carabinero whose scars will always remind the attack of an alienated skateboarder.
The farmer and the carabinero do what they know and should do, for that reason received damage from forces that they can not control.
The volcano is only one way Earth has to release its internal energy, to find its balance, the protests serve a similar function on a social level. The search of “liberation” and the rationale behind irrational movements are points in common.
The questions are ... How much internal energy is accumulated? Will they be just columns of ash and powerful eruptions?
